A Few Words About

Rotary International

Rotary International was founded on February 23, 1905, by Paul P. Harris in Chicago, Illinois. Harris’s vision was to create a professional club that brought together people from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. The organization quickly grew beyond Chicago, with clubs forming in other cities and countries, reflecting its members’ shared values and commitment to service. By 1922, the organization adopted the name Rotary International to signify its global reach, and today, Rotary has over 35,000 clubs in more than 200 countries, making it one of the largest and most influential humanitarian service organizations worldwide.
